Emily is starting to potty train herself! She just took her pants & diaper off and said “Mommy, I go potty!” I said (not expecting much) “Ok!” She went into the bathroom, came out a minute later and said “Go potty, Mommy!” I checked and sure enough, she had peed in her little potty! I was so excited! And so glad I had remembered to buy some M&Ms last time I was at the store for just-in-case potty rewards.
I can’t believe how independent she is with this whole potty-training thing. Nathan had absolutely no desire to learn until he was 3! Well even then, he could have cared less, I basically put my foot down and said “You ARE going to learn.” He finally was pretty much potty trained by the time Emily was born – after a LOT of work, but even then, not 100%.
Such a difference between boys and girls!
I had posted about a month ago that Emily had gone #2 in the potty. Again, all on her own. She hasn’t said a lot about going since then and I haven’t pushed it. My original plan was to introduce potty training after her 2nd birthday. But she’s doing it all by herself.
I’m so proud of my little girl. =)
