Nathan is still sick. That jello came up earlier. He held down a popsicle early this afternoon, but about an hour ago, he threw up again when eating another popsicle. He fell asleep for a couple hours on the couch and he seems to be ok, just really tired. I’m starting to worry about him a little because he’s gone almost 24 hours without much for fluids. 2 popsicles, a little jello, and a small cup of water – and he threw most of that up. I’m keeping a close eye on him and if he doesn’t start holding water/anything down shortly, we’ll have to call the doctor. My own doctor said they don’t usually start worrying about dehydration until it’s been 24 hours. So we have a little more time, but not much… Please pray my little boy feels better. This is taking him much longer to get over than I had thought.
We just received word that Nate has to travel again this upcoming week. He’s leaving Sunday evening and will hopefully be returning home on Wednesday or Thursday, but he has a flight booked home on Friday. I had just finished telling Nate this morning that if they really did need him to travel this week, I would be ok with it since he has had 2 weeks home. But goodness, I didn’t think they would take me that literally! Of course *they* didn’t know I said that just this morning. lol. I am very thankful that Nate’s work is so good because they are only sending Nate because they really need him. They tried to figure this particular thing out without him and they need him. So I do appreciate their effort to keep him home.
Now, my 2 day weekend is quickly turning shorter again. We need to run some errands – Walmart & Shaws, and then on Sunday I had planned on going to Toys R Us after church because we need to get Nathan a few more birthday presents! His birthday is Wednesday but we’re not going to celebrate it until next Saturday (thank goodness we went with that weekend and not this one!) Thankfully Nate’s flight doesn’t leave until 5 pm, so we’ll have time to go to TRU but it’s not going to be quite as easy-going this weekend as I had hoped. I had really wanted Nate to get a lot done on the boys’ closet and I know he plans on working on that tomorrow, but I’m just not sure how much he’ll be able to do now. I’m starting to get a little anxious about getting things ready for the baby so I’m really hoping he’ll be able to get a good portion of it done.
Well I have to run get dinner. I’ll check in later. Please keep Nathan in your prayers, thanks!
