I love Diet Dr Pepper. I had completely forgotten that fact until today. I haven’t been drinking much pop/soda (depending on which part of the country you are from, heehee) for the past several months. Being pregnant, I try to avoid artificial sweeteners – at least in the first few months – and I don’t like to add the extra calories from regular soda. I put on enough weight during pregnancy without extra’s.
Today, I woke up feeling very tired and grumpy. And when I was still grumpy and dragging at noon, I went in search of a pick-me-up. I have some Crystal Light, but that hasn’t set well with me lately, and again artificial sweeteners. I’ll drink a little now and then, now that I’m further along, but if something doesn’t set well with me, why on earth should I drink it? So that was out. And I don’t drink coffee. I’ve never liked it and probably never will. Then I remembered I had grabbed a 2 liter of Diet Dr Pepper at Shaws this week because I had a free coupon.
I drank a small glass of it and within a 1/2 hour I started feeling better. And now I’m in a pretty good mood. I’m going to finish blogging and then tackle my kitchen again. Yep, I’m still working on it, but I am making progress! I love organizing and the end result is always so satisfying. And even better, I am in a major throw-things-out mood. I love throwing things out.
When he came home last night after working on the car for hours, he put Nathan in our bed and worked on the boys’ closet. I couldn’t believe how sweet he was. He had been up since a ridiculously early hour, put in a full day at work, spent hours repairing his car in the cold snow, and then came home only to work on yet another project. I know he is working on the closet for me, so that I will feel better. Am I blessed or what?
