Emily loves Winnie the Pooh. Everytime she sees anything Pooh, she shouts “PoooP!”
Yep, she adds a “p” onto the end. No matter what I say or do, that ‘p’ always slips in there. And I end up laughing hysterically. She must think Pooh is a very funny character to make Mommy laugh that much!
I had my 34 week doctor appointment today. Nothing too new or exciting. I am about 1 cm dilated and very soft, but not effaced much. My doctor said that’s pretty normal at this point for a 3rd baby.
She kept referring to me as being 35 weeks pregnant. I’m not sure if she did actually change my due date or what. But regardless of those specifics, she did say that if I went into labor now, they wouldn’t try to stop it. Well, actually for the next couple of days, they *might* give me a simple dose of meds to try to slow things down but they would pretty much let things go. I can’t believe I’m to that point already! I also have her pager number so if something happens and she’s not on call and it is determined that the baby needs to be delivered, I can page her and she’ll come in immediately to do my c-section. Isn’t that great? I love my doctor.
Joshua is looking great. Doctor commented that I am all baby and he is running out of room in there. Gee, I had no idea! lol
I only have 3 more appointments before my scheduled c-section date. I skip next week (Yay!) and then I have weekly appointments. We are really getting close now.
The odd thing about this pregnancy – or me this time around – is that I have this really funny feeling that Joshua may come sooner than my scheduled c-section date. I can’t shake it. I never felt that way with my other two. And now I keep dreaming that something happens and he comes sooner. Last night, I had a really vivid dream where my water broke sometime next week (35 weeks) and he came early.
Watch me be completely wrong and Joshua will happily sit and cook for another 4.5 weeks until D-day. But on the other hand, it’s not that far fetched to think I might go into labor before 39 weeks 2 days (the date my c-section is scheduled for) as this is my 3rd baby. I never went into labor with either of my other two – I was induced with Nathan and with Emily, I had a c-section at 38 weeks 6 days. However, I was contracting regularly when I went in for my c-section with Emily and the doctor said I was in early labor.
On one hand, I want Joshua to come sooner as I am soo tired and in a lot of pain. But I don’t want him to come sooner than 37 weeks – I don’t want him to end up in the NICU! And even that being said, I hope he’ll wait until my scheduled c-section because my dear mother-in-law is flying into town and we have all our plans set for around that date. It would be a lot harder to juggle childcare for the kids and having Nate at the hospital for me as much as I’d prefer if something happened sooner. But anyways, I’m totally rambling now…
I guess we will find out in the next few weeks, right?!
