So it was nice. Very nice.
At one point, during one of my many trips to the bathroom (an 8+ pound baby sitting on your bladder will do that), I realized that someone had drawn with pen on the wall. My first thought was that it was Emily or her little visiting friend. But upon closer inspection, I quickly realized who the culprit was.
Who do you think would draw a rather large volcano, complete with the internal diagram of the magma chambers underground and the word “BIG” ?
Yep, your guess was the same as mine – Nathan.
He had drawn it when he was supposed to be having a time out in the bathroom. He got into trouble for that one. He knows better than to draw on the wall.
Thank heavens for Mr Clean Magic Eraser because it did a pretty good job of taking 99% of it off the wall. And for my friend who suggested it.
In hindsight, I should have taken a picture of the drawing because that’s something I would have liked to have shared with you all. It’s much more telling with a photo than me trying to describe it. But needless to say, I erased it all before I thought that far ahead. So you’ll just have to settle for my description. Sorry!
I am doing pretty good. I am still in quite a bit of pain, but the Tylenol with Codeine takes the edge off and I feel like I can function and get through the day again. Instead of desperately wondering how on earth I’ll be able to manage the next 2.5+ weeks until Joshua’s arrival, I feel like I can now – one day at a time.
And some great news – the boys’ room is finished! I have put away all the baby clothes, I have arranged my giant stash of cloth diapers, and my hospital bag is packed (minus of course the last minute things, but I have a list all ready to go!)
There are still a few minor things I’d like to get done, or rather that I’d like for Nate to do, like put put a few boxes away in the attic, pull out the pack ‘n play, clean out the car, put the carseat in the car, etc. But none of that takes a lot of time and if Joshua were to come without those things getting done, it’s not a big deal. Well of course we need the carseat in the car, but Nate can do that last minute if need be.
I finally feel like I am ready for this baby to come!
I finally feel relaxed!
And I’m almost 37 weeks so Joshua can come anytime he wants now!
