I know, it’s been almost a week since I last posted! Unusual for me.
Before I say anything more, I have to announce that today, we are exactly FOUR weeks away from our c-section date! Wow! In a way, it seems a long ways off, but in another sense it seems like it’s coming up SO fast. It seems like while this pregnancy has flown by really quickly, in the moment, things are going slowly. Kind of weird, but I don’t know how else to put it.
We’ve been really busy with getting ready for the baby. Nate had last Friday off work and he worked ALL weekend on the boys’ room. He finished sanding the sheetrock, then primed and painted the closet and entire room. And cleaned it all up. I helped with some of the painting.
It looks really good and once we get the rest of the furniture in there, I’ll have to take some pictures. For now, we have Nathan’s bed and the crib (finally!) set up! Hopefully tonight or tomorrow, Nate can bring in the dressers that are currently in our room and I can start putting baby clothes away. You have no idea how much I have been dying to do that. I have all the baby clothes washed, neatly folded, and organized in my room but I just need to put them away.
Joshua will be sleeping in our room in the pack ‘n play bassinet for the first month or so. I don’t want him waking up Nathan, plus I like my babies near me at the beginning. But once he gets a little bigger and hopefully is sleeping through the nights in longer spurts, we’ll move him in with Nathan. Or when Nate puts his foot down and kicks the baby out of our room.
All we have left to do with the boys’ room is for Nate to replace the ceiling light, put the closet light in, finish putting the outlet covers on, etc. and then put the closet shelving up. Our goal is to finish that this weekend. Then I will really feel better! I can’t wait to get Nathan’s room completely organized. I just love that kind of thing!
As for me, well I am super tired and achy. I feel like my pelvis & hips are just falling apart. It seems like it goes between everything feeling so loose that I can barely walk to things locking up and then I can still barely walk. And both are very painful. It didn’t help that Emily decided to get up SIX times between 11 pm and 2:30 am last night. I couldn’t even bend down to hug her without escrutiating pain. Yet I did. Five times. (I poked Nate one time when I didn’t think I could get out of bed once more. He was so tired from our busy weekend that he didn’t even hear Emily. Poor guy.) So needless to say, I am pretty tired today.
I have a couple of stories to share with things the kids have done lately, but I’m going to get off the computer now and get some more housework done.
Did I mention I did not get on the computer at all yesterday until 10 pm?! I was that busy doing stuff around the house.
Also, I added Twitter on the left side of my blog – you can follow me here.
