This post is mainly for my Dad, but also for me, because this is just something I have to write about.
Emily is such a little packrat. I have her room neatly organized – at least I try to keep it that way. But every night, without fail, I find her soundly sleeping like this:
…stuff all over her bed. Books, toys, papers, little things like the cards from a Disney matching game, dolls, stuffed toys, little knick-knacks, I could go on and on… Oh and I can’t forget the shoes, hair bows, and SOCKS too.
There have been times when she has so much stuff piled on her bed that it’s almost pushing her off the bed. Or I find her laying on top of books/toys. Or when I find a toy or a pile of books on TOP of her. One night, she even had one of those small wicker baskets full of little books- ON her chest! How the girl sleeps like that is beyond me.
It’s finally started warming up lately (we’ve had a couple of 80* days!) and I will go into her room and find her sleeping with her comforter pulled to her chin, she is drenched in sweat, yet she turns the fan off as soon as she realizes I’ve turned it on. No fan, comforter on + 80 degrees with humidity. Okay then!
Dad tells me I was a little packrat when I was young too. Guess it runs in the family…
And because I can’t post without putting up a photo of my littlest one…
