I’m looking forward to a girls’ night out with some great friends from church. We’re heading to the Olive Garden for dinner and after that I’m going shopping with my bestie! Fun, fun, fun!
I was so tired after a crazy day with the kids (not Joshua, but Nathan & especially Emily) yesterday that I almost canceled, but I knew that meant I needed to get out even more, so I’m going. Nathan keeps saying “So you are going with your ‘girls.’ Can I come?” Sorry, hon, but nope. Then Emily says “I’m a girl, Mama! (She’s into calling me “Mama” lately) Can I come?” Nope, this is for Moms!
My day yesterday? To sum it up – poop, poop, and more poop. Well maybe just poop and poop. But it was more than I wanted to deal with. Emily and potty training = poop on my kitchen floor and almost on my dining room floor. (Seriously, do not ask.) And Nathan, in a very sleepy state, peed on my toilet seat cover – after I finished washing all my bathroom rugs of course. Why is it that whenever I finish my laundry and am able to relish how neat my bathroom (which doubles as a laundry room) is for about 10 seconds, then there is suddenly another pile of peed on clothes, towels, somehow things that need to be urgently washed. And so I have to start yet another load.
Today is a good day and I am thankful. It’s 20 degrees out today too so it’s actually warm! Yesterday averaged about 8 degrees with an even colder windchill. Not a typo – single digits in December. Yeah, that’s New Hampshire weather.
Any southerners want to come visit? Are you sure? 😉
It might be cold, but you could get drooled on by this little love!
