In the last couple of days, Joshua has really taken off with crawling. He is all over the place now and is QUITE happy with his newly realized ability.
Get this: at one point yesterday, for the first time EVER, Joshua did not want me to hold him! He actually squirmed and tried to get down so he could crawl over to his toy! I couldn’t believe it. It’s so nice to able to get something done without having to choose from a screaming child or toting him around. At the same time, I know I’ll miss that soon enough, but for now, this is a welcome change. It’s been a long 9 months with this little guy, but he is so worth it and it is truly amazing to watch him thrive now that all his issues have finally been sorted out.
Yesterday, we were sorting through Nathan’s legos in the boys’ room, and Joshua was crawling around. Nathan was excited that Joshua is moving so quickly now and was commenting on it. He was saying “Wow, Mom, Joshua is crawling fast…” and then had to quickly change it to “Oh no, Mom, Joshua is crawling fast to my LEGO’s!”
