We celebrated Joshua’s birthday a week ago Saturday. Poor Joshua had been really grumpy the last couple days and the evening of his birthday party, he developed a fever. He was pretty miserable, poor baby. I think it was from teething. We almost postponed the party until the next day, but Joshua was hungry and wanted dinner so we figured why not do cake too, and then he seemed okay for presents so we went along with it. We kept it pretty simple and I’m glad, because if I had planned a big party, it would have been kind of disappointing to have J not that interested. It was a special day though because Grandpa was visiting!
Grandpa & Joshua – as you can see J isn’t himself:
He knew what to do with the cake this time, now that he’d had some experience with frosting before – see here:
Present time, with help from Nathan:
We certainly did not re-gift this toy from the older kids’ toy stash in the attic! He loved it, even though I couldn’t get a good smiley picture of him:
And this was certainly not another attic re-gift from Emily either:
Happy Birthday, my sweet boy!
