Nathan was riding his bike and all of a sudden, he comes dashing into the house and informs me that “something terrible has happened!”
Well seeing as Nathan has just started riding his bike, all sorts of scenarios are playing through my head – did he crash into a neighbor child? Did he break something? Obviously he was okay, but what did he do?
Then Nathan elaborates – “Milo is stuck in the tree!”
Ok, that I can handle. Hopefully. 😉
We head outside and Milo’s across the street in the neighbor’s maple tree about 8-10 feet up. He was whining and trying to balance on a very thin branch. Nate tried to climb up to get him, but he wasn’t able to. Nathan tells us that we need to call the fire department and they will rescue Milo! He was very excited about this prospect and, I think, a little disappointed when Nate assured him he could still get Milo. He propped up a ladder, climbed up, and rescued Milo. Pretty simple.
Here’s the culprit:
