… is fabulous! I just love it! My favorite part is that it’s new and CLEAN!
You can see BEFORE pictures HERE.
Nate’s brother, James, happened to drive up from North Carolina and came by to see us. He brought a friend too and between the three men (really James & Adam did the actual floor), they removed the old flooring and put in the new floor in one evening.
They did an incredible job and I am SO thankful to James & Adam for all of their hard work! All I did was make them dinner – I think I made out pretty good!
Here’s Uncle James & Emily:
Uncle James & Joshua, who of course would not smile at the camera:

And here’s my kitchen, with everything back in place. As you can see, we have two tables. The big one is for eating and the other one is for homeschooling, although the kids do “seatwork” at the big table:
What do you think? I am SO happy with it. The guys did a fantastic job and Nate did great finishing up the trim and other finishing touches. The best part is that it’s CLEAN! Oh wait, I already said that. Well, that’s ok – it’s worth repeating!
My back will be even more thankful when I’m 9 months pregnant and not struggling to scrub the floor on my hands and knees, like I have with my other pregnancies. Oh I’m pretty sure I’ll find myself back on my hands & knees, but it won’t be as merciless as that old floor!
Thanks for sharing your projects too – it’s so fun to read what other people are doing!
We’re staying close to home and I hope to get caught up on a few organizing projects I’ve been wanting to get to all summer, but haven’t been able to with being so sick this pregnancy.
