…this is what our neighborhood looks like. Well at least this morning anyways.
By Sunday, our mounds of piled up snow had almost melted and we were starting to see patches of (dead) grass. A couple of my spring crocuses even popped up. Then another snow storm arrived yesterday – the very first day of spring. The storm was nothing compared to many of the storms that come through here, but we did get a few more inches. My kids were not too pleased, but they quickly got back into the swing of winter and began building a snow fort with their friends.
I wasn’t going to complain about it though – this is typical New England weather. Plus it sure was pretty when I woke up this morning:
At least it wasn’t as much snow as this (taken a month ago):
I can see while backing out of my driveway now, unlike just a week ago!
It won’t last. It’s already pretty much gone. But we’ll probably get at least one more snow storm before winter completely leaves us.
