It’s amazing how many people will post a bunk bed on Craigslist without any photos and expect you to pay $500 for something you’d have to drive over an hour one way to see. Obviously that’s their prerogative, but it certainly wasn’t worth it for us. We looked at new bunk beds but they just weren’t sturdy enough for the use our boys will put them through – not unless we wanted to spend a whole lot of money. Which we didn’t and wouldn’t. So we kept looking, knowing the right bunk bed would come at the right time. And it did! Our wonderful neighbor (“Mrs Rose” as the kids affectionately call her – although she’s now becoming “Grandma Rose”) put us in contact with a friend of hers who had a bunk bed for sale. And what do you know? It was the perfect one with the perfect price!
There’s a quick recap of our week. I’m working on a more updated post about a few things but that will have to wait a bit as I’ve got to wake Luke up from his nap so I can feed him before having to run Nathan to karate practice. (Ok that was totally a run-on sentence!)
