Here on the East Coast it’s finally spring and we are all ready to be outside and enjoying the sunshine! One of our favorite things to do once the weather warms up is to go on family adventures at many of the awesome outside entertainment that NJ has to offer. While I love the warmer weather, it’s very difficult to have the windows in our van open when we are all riding together. The noise from the wind completely blocks us hearing the girls in the back, and now with Baby J we need to be extra careful. That’s why I was thrilled to review the Weathertech Vent Visors from AutoAnything!
The AutoAnything website is very user friendly and their customer service is top notch! The rep worked hard with me to ensure that I had the correct visors that would fit our van. When the box arrived I was so excited…..and then it snowed. And rained. And was super cold all over again.
So when it was finally nice here, I was excited to get the visors on the van.
The instructions included are pictures, with a few word descriptions. At first I was pretty nervous, thinking that it HAD to be more difficult that it looked, but I was soon proved wrong. We were sent both the front and rear Weathertech Vent Visors and the installation took me 15 minutes total. I was amazed how easy it was! I started with the front driver’s side window first and worked my way around the can. The front Weathertech Vent Visors do not use adhesive, however the rear visors do.
I would say the installation is a one person job, but I needed some assistance from my awesome hubby at the end. After you snap the Weathertech Vent Visors into place, you have to lower and raise your windows 5 times each. I noticed that with each window the first and second time I needed to use my hand to help raise the window all the way up. After the fifth time, the windows were closing all the way by themselves. I had some trouble on the last window, but it was because the weather stripping on the van was bent in and I didn’t notice it until I started installing the WeathertechVent Visor. After some wiggling I got everything to fit snugly.
I took the van for a test drive and was excited by the noticeable noise difference. The Weathertech Vent Visors really did make a difference in the sound of the wind. I was able to talk to my mother in law on my headset with the window open and not only could I hear her perfectly, she could hear me without any noise! I also like that the Weathertech Vent Visors are sleek and don’t stick out far from the windows. They blend in perfectly and look like they were put on at the factory!
The only thing that I did notice is there is a little distortion when you glace out the side windows into the visors. I notice it most on the passenger side window when I am making a turn. After a few days of driving it’s not as noticeable anymore, but it did take some getting used to.
Overall I am thrilled with the result of adding the Weathertech Vent Visors to our van and am looking forward to using less air conditioning and getting more fresh air while we travel.
If you are looking to add something to your car, truck or van I highly recommend AutoAnything. They are a dream to work with, they ship quickly and are happy to assist even after your order has been filled.
