“Never let the sun go down on your anger…”
Our very dear friend, Rosemary Dato, told us this piece of wisdom before Nate & I were married. She went to be with the Lord in 2002 a few months after our wedding. Rosemary was an amazing youth leader, mentor, and friend to us and to Nate, who along with his family was even closer to her than I was (and I loved her dearly!), she was like a 2nd mother. We will never forget dear Rosemary and I know that her wise words have helped us often in our almost 6 years of marriage and will continue to do so.
Nate worked a 12 hour day last night and we were both exhausted by the time he came home last night around 11 pm. Even though we were so tired, we sat down to resolve our “differences.” After a minor argument, we were able to go to bed peacefully and once again, I am so glad we spent those extra few minutes doing so. Today, I am free to have a peaceful day without the weight of a disagreement over my head.
Today is a typical day in our household. Emily is delighting in throwing toys & books down the stairs, Nathan thought it would be fun to dump his entire little Lego bucket and his Connectagons out together on the floor, and then was none too pleased when I told him to pick them up. I finally got the bathroom cleaned & picked up and I am feeling pretty good today. I did my 1 mile walking routine and oops – forgot to do my Pilates right after Emily went down. Well I’ll do that when she wakes up in a little while and is eating her snack. If I try to do my Pilates when she’s running around, she thinks it’s very interesting and loves to throw herself down on top of me. Add that to the wildly running around dog named, Abby, who also finds my Pilates workout exciting, and it makes it quite difficult to actually complete it!
I am slowly starting to feel better and get my energy back. Thank you, Jesus!
I know that taking a vitamin supplement when I’m seriously lacking it, isn’t going to change things overnight – it will take time. Like I mentioned last week, I am continuing to make exercising a priority and I am definitely feeling more upbeat. I’m adding “extras” like additional chores on gradually and trying not to over do it. I have 3 baskets of laundry to fold which is easy and 2 more in the dryer and wash. I’ll probably do that this evening after Miss Emily is bed. She loves to “help” with laundry you see and has fun flinging all of my neatly folded clothes onto the floor.
I still need to find my weekly menu which I may have accidently thrown out! Oops. I think I’m trying a new recipe for homemade Enchiladas tonight. It should be good! 🙂
