What is up with my kids and pee today?
Nathan began the morning by shouting from the bathroom: “Mom, my pee-pee aimed wrong!” I went into the bathroom to find that he had peed all over the (unraised) toilet seat and on the floor. Nice. And funny how his “pee-pee” just happened to aim wrong – you know, nothing he did influenced that of course. 😉
I heard Emily yelling from the bathroom at one point. The door was shut – this doesn’t happen very often as it’s hard for her to close it. (Old house, old funny doors.) She was saying “Mommy, potty! Mommy, potty!” I found her standing by the toilet with her pants and diaper off, lots of toilet paper and water all over the seat, and a puddle of what I thought was urine on the floor. Upon closer inspection, I realized that my bottle of contact lens solution was empty and lying in the middle of said pile. Apparently Emily had decided to clean up her little puddle by using my lens solution. The entire bottle. Thankfully it was a free sample bottle from the dr, but still – that stuff isn’t cheap! (Note to self: Must keep solution in cupboard from now on. ) Oh and Emily wasn’t done yet. My cute little white Pound Puppy that Nate had given me at Christmas (I love Pound Puppies – I loved playing with them when I was little – and my sweet husband remembered and got me one) was also in the middle of the puddle.
As Nate said, when I told him the aforementioned stories, – “Your day may be long, but it certainly isn’t boring!”
Is it bedtime yet?
Better yet, is my husband coming home yet?
