I just finished off an entire (small) Dunkin Donuts strawberry coolatta. I just had to have one tonight and my sweet husband grabbed me one when he was out running an errand. I have been so hungry today and eating all kinds of junk. I just couldn’t help myself. I don’t even want to know what the scale is going to say later this week. I probably gained 2 pounds alone today.
Of course it’s now 9:30 at night and I’m going to bed soon. That means that I’m going to be up multiple times tonight using the bathroom.
On an entirely different note, we are dealing with car troubles once again. This time with Nate’s little Neon – yep the car he just bought. Nate had driven up to a friend’s house today to pick up a tool he left and upon leaving, his brakes gave out. The Lord protected him – and Nathan who was with him! – and mercifully allowed the brakes to give out at the bottom of his friend’s driveway on a a very quiet road, not on the 40 minutes of highway driving or any other dangerous place. Praise the Lord for that! It could have been very bad and thankfully it was not.
That’s yet another car repair. And now the car is 40 minutes away at Nate’s buddy’s house. It’s something with the brake lines. We just had our stupid Taurus’s brake lines replaced at a cost of $400. I am sooo tired of car problems.
Nate had planned to work on the boys’ closet all afternoon. That’s why he was picking up his drill. But instead, he spent the afternoon working on his darn car. And once again, I have lost my vehicle. I’m just hoping & praying that Nate is able to get his car repaired so I can go to the mom’s group on Tuesday…
All that complaining aside, I am really trying to look at the good side of things lately & count my blessings. When I look at a family just losing their baby girl to a heart defect just 2 days ago, more car problems are nothing.
-Nate & Nathan are safe -that’s the most important thing. They could have gotten into a very bad accident and God protected them. Thank You, Jesus.
-Worse case, it will cost $400 or so to repair. While I’d much rather spend that money on baby things and clothes for Emily (I’ve been hoping to hit the Gymboree outlet sometime in the next month and get her summer clothes), we do at least have it.
-Nate is trying to get the closet finished, even I will admit that he’s working at it. We’re just having really bad luck with other things interrupting.
So if you could please pray that Nate is able to fix the car quickly & easily (and preferably cheaply! ) tomorrow, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
