So I posted awhile back about me, but a few of those things have changed. So I’m going to update this and do another “About Me” post. I’ll copy/paste a few things because they are still the same.
Before I continue, here’s my little “disclaimer”:
I want to just say that I’m not posting this for debate. You are not going to change my mind on how I do things. I’ve seen some bloggers post about some of these subjects and have watched them be attacked by others who think they know “best.” Don’t do that here please. If you don’t like my views, then just leave be. I am not trying to “convert” you. I am simply sharing what works for my family. This is me. Take it or leave it. My blog is a nice peaceful friendly little place and let’s keep it that way please. 😉
Thank you. =)
I certainly don’t consider myself to be “crunchy” (which generally means natural, holistic, attachment parenting, etc.), but I don’t think I’m quite “mainstream” either. I like to say, I’m a “think-for-yourself” kind of person.
I am a formula-feeding, disposable diaper using, non-vaccinating, alternative-natural medicine but also regular medicine using, non-co-sleeping, non baby wearing, cry-it-out, homeschooling mom.
Now how’s that for a sentence?
I used to be a cloth diapering mama too, but with Joshua, I was just too busy and found it harder to keep up with the regular laundry, muchless cloth diapering. As economical as cloth diapering can be, it’s not without some maintenance and I would have needed to spend more money on different cloth diapers with Joshua so I decided to call it quits. This summer, I sold off my cloth diaper “stash” and made quite a nice chunk of change. The other thing is that I’m able to get disposable diapers (Pampers!) for so cheaply that when compared to the cost of water/electricity for doing the laundry, it’s actually cheaper for us to use disposables. Crazy, but true. So I am now a disposable-diaper-using mama. I do miss cloth diapers because they are so cute and fun and natural, but at this point in my busy life, disposables are much more realistic.
