After years of not having any professional photos done, we decided to take the leap and go for it this fall.
Previously, I didn’t want to deal with being on a strict time limit with four children who are in various moods and don’t want to sit and smile for someone they don’t know in a weird environment at a photo studio. We usually take pictures of the kids at home sitting on the couch. Maybe not the best quality but it worked. Plus it was much cheaper and less stressful.
But this year, now that our family is complete with Luke, Nate & I decided that we needed some pictures of the whole family. It was time to go pro. Only we still didn’t want to do the studio route.
(I should just add that while I’m linking to our photographer in this post, this is in no way sponsored!)
I looked around and found a professional photographer (via Facebook of course!) who was willing to meet my whole family where we wanted. Where the kids could run around and be themselves.
We met Kate with Ava Marie Photography two weeks ago for our photo shoot. It was unexpectedly cold that day (about 32 degrees with ice/snow on the ground.) Despite that disadvantage (ie more layers and hats and mittens, grumpier kids, and a wet cold ground), Kate was so patient with all of us and did an amazing job. I was a little nervous that we might not get good pictures because the kids were a little out of sorts that day. But Kate came through. I am so thrilled and impressed with her beautiful work!
If you are in New Hampshire, I highly recommend Ava Marie Photography. Kate is top quality, professional, and personal! Not a combo you will find just anywhere! I couldn’t be happier!
