I love shopping for gifts for friends and family! And, of course, I prefer to find personalized gifts, rather than gift something generic that could be for my uncle, my best friend’s daughter, or my neighbor. And by personalized, I don’t meant something with a person’s first name embroidered across the front! I mean something that reflects who they are, whether it be their crazy personality, funny sense of humor, hobby collecting cats, love of literature, and/or geeky fascination with mathematical concepts! But where do you shop for these crazy, funny, weird, book-loving, mathematical geeks??
The Answer: Cafe Press!!
Cafe Press has pretty much everything, and that isn’t even a slight exaggeration. As I was wandering around on their website I saw clothing (including cool shirts and even underwear!!) for men, women, and children. They offer fabulous business cards and cases. There was also a crazy assortment of things for the home such as rugs, plates/platters, picture frames, home office supplies, lampshades, and even yoga mats! Stationary and stickers of all kinds can be found in abundance. And if you’re looking for coffee mugs, look no further. I really like this mug with the period table of elements on it! Cafe Press has drinkware of all sorts to choose from.
I was privileged with the opportunity to choose a few things to try out, and it was a hard choice! In the end, I chose several fun things! First I decided on a set of adorable personalized note cards for Samuel.
I enjoy sending little notes to grandparents on Samuel’s behalf every now and then, and I thought these were perfect for him! Samuel LOVES dogs! In fact, apart from “mama,” “dog” and “doggie” were the first two words he said that I could understand. And because Samuel’s daddy is a pilot, I thought these vintage aviator dog note cards were the perfect choice for our little guy! The cards are of very good quality. The printing is really nice, the card stock is thick, and the matching envelopes look great. We can’t wait to use them!
My other choices were made based on the fact that I am a lover of good literature, including Shakespeare, the fact that I am a very petite girl, and the fact that my personality doesn’t always match my petite frame. 😉 When I ran across these shirts, I was instantly in love!
The one I’m wearing is for me (obviously!), and the pink one is for my niece who is a very petite, very feisty little four year old! The quote, “And though she be but little, she is fierce,” is from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. And I LOVE it!!! Both shirts are of very good quality. They are Hanes brand cotton, and they are both tagless. I really prefer tagless shirts because I inevitably end up cutting tags out of shirts because they itch.
And finally, because I am a big fan of hot tea (some days I drink copious amounts), I just couldn’t pass up this mug with the same Shakespeare quote on it.
This is a larger size mug, and it is perfect for my morning and late afternoon cups of hot tea. I really am super picky about my tea mugs, and I can already tell that this one will be washed more than any of the others because it will be a favorite. The print quality is fantastic; I don’t see this coming off in the dishwasher…..ever.
Overall, I am really impressed with the quality of the items I received and would be proud to give them as gifts. But I’m keeping all of it except the shirt for my niece! 🙂
