Product Review Disclosure

I love chocolate – all kinds of chocolate!  Since I’ve managed to pass my love of chocolate on to my Bella, she seemed the logical choice to help me with the delicious candy that we received from See’s Candies to review.  I had never heard of See’s Candies, and I’m so excited to introduce you to them!  See’s Candies has been making delicious treats for over 90 years.  I like that the ingredients are fresh and that they never add preservatives to any of their candies.  Currently they have over 100 different chocolates and candies waiting for you to try.

It took me a little while to decide what I wanted after I visited See’s Candies website.  Everything looked very yummy, but I knew I had to choose!  I finally decided on Dark Mint Krispys, Milk Chocolate Candy Bars, Sour Stars, Assorted Chocolates and Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips.  I couldn’t wait for the goodies to arrive so Bella and I could start our review.  Since it’s been so hot here, I was concerned that the candy would melt in shipment – but the candy came boxed in a Styrofoam lined box, with ice packs keeping the candy cold and ready for enjoyment.  As it turned out, I had under-estimated my husband and Sophie’s interest in the candy box! Imagine my surprise when I arrived home to find an opened box and smiles on everyone’s faces.

Let me break down the yummy items that we got to review:

IMG_7832-001

The Dark Mint Krispys were not what I was expecting at all.  The centers are a solid mint, and I’ve never tried a candy with a solid mint center before. The dark chocolate is a perfect match to the cool peppermint – they are like eating a chocolate covered candy cane.  I really like that each candy is individually wrapped, which makes it easy to pop a few in the diaper bag for a quick treat on the go!

IMG_7834-001

Chocolate bars are among my favorite treat to eat, and these Milk Chocolate Candy Bars did not disappoint! The bars are broken into 4 quarters, perfect for the girls to share {although they each wanted their own bar!} and the creamy milk chocolate just melts in your mouth.  These are not your standard grocery-store candy bars, either. Each bar is thick and full to the brim with deliciousness.

159sourstarsbig

Remember when I said I came home to an opened box? My husband, Sophie and Bella managed to eat the entire bag of Sour Stars and I didn’t get one! While I can’t give a first hand taste review, considering that the bag was gone and they have all asked me to order another one, my guess is that the Sour Stars are seriously yummy.  I am going to order another bag, but I’m going to make sure that I get to taste them this time!

IMG_7833-001

Assorted Chocolates are always so fun to eat, since you never know what you’re going to get! Unless, of course, you cheat and look at the sheet on the box. {ahem} I was really pleased with the centers in these chocolates! Everything from creams to nuts was included and I have to admit that I liked every single one that I tried.  Bella did as well, although she won’t eat anything with nuts in it – which was okay, since it meant more for me!

IMG_7830-001

Last on the review were the Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips.  These chips are HUGE – not your standard chocolate chips at all! They are at least the size of a dime and so yummy that you can’t eat just one or two….or three.  Okay, I had a handful for a snack!  Again, the milk chocolate melts in your mouth and is delicious.  We used these as toppings on ice cream sundaes, and I’m sure that we’ll find a few more uses for them!

We give See’s Candies TWO THUMBS UP!!  You can find the delicious items reviewed above as well as many more on their website, or stop in to one of their local shops for a free sample!

I have never shopped at BJ’s because they do not have this store where I live. But I think that question was for another giveaway. But for See”s candies, I like their milk chocolate assortment. It tastes so delicious!

Hi! 🙂 Not sure if you really meant the BJ’s question, but given it’s the one there – nope, not even sure if there are any in the state. LOL As for See’s, I only ever had them once, and boy have I wanted more since! 🙂

My family has and always will be loyal See’s Candies customers. My papa has bought my grandma a pound of candy every year for Valentine’s Day AND their anniversary since the beginning and bought me a pound every year for Valentine’s Day! (He still does too, even though I’m married with my own family). I usually get a half pound of dark chocolate covered walnuts and a half pound of California Brittle, but I would love to branch out and maybe try cashew brittle!
