We celebrated our sweet Emily’s 7th birthday last week. Um…actually it was 10 days ago. (Where does the time go?)
Emily helped me make her birthday cake – a homemade white cake with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting. Mmm…mmmm! She wanted a “horse cake” for the decorations. I kept it simple and made a green grass pasture and a small pond on the top of the cake. Emily put a couple of her horse figurines and later two Lego characters on it. She also included an elephant from Joshua’s Chuggington train set. Not really sure why, but it was her cake.
Here’s some of my favorite photos from Emily’s birthday party. We kept it simple (as we usually do) and only invited close family.
Cousin Cyrena loved the wrapping paper (of course – when do they not?)
Daddy contained the Lukey monster.
A horse book from Grandma!
And a pretty shirt from Aunt Sue!
Tita (Aunt) Allie made Emily a fleece blanket, with horses on one side and Tinkerbell on the other. It’s now her favorite.
Uncle Jonathan and Lukey.
Happy Birthday, Emily!
