Luckily it’s surprisingly easy to make your own homemade Paleo dark chocolate right at home. Today I’ll show you how to make a mint dark chocolate version that’s perfect for the holiday season or any time you’re in the mood for that delightful minty flavor!
This simple 4-ingredient recipe for Paleo Mint Dark Chocolate is based off my original Paleo Dark Chocolate recipe, the only difference is it’s peppermint flavored!
You don’t have to be an expert candymaker or baker to make homemade mint dark chocolate; it’s unbelievably simple!
Did I mention this Paleo Mint Dark Chocolate takes a mere 5 minutes to whip up?! It does require an additional 30 minutes or so of chill time but that’s easy peasy. Besides, you can lick out the bowl while you wait!
I personally prefer to make this mint dark chocolate with less sweetener – in this case maple syrup – because I try to eat very little sugar. And that’s one of the best parts about this homemade chocolate – you can make it as sweet or bitter as you prefer!
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ⅔ cup cocoa powder
- 2-4 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1-1.5 tsp peppermint extract
- Melt the coconut oil and whisk all the ingredients together. Pour onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for about 20 minutes. Cut into small pieces and enjoy.
- Store in the fridge or the coconut oil will cause your chocolate to melt!
