1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
1 cup tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste
2 large tomatoes, cut into chunks
1 tsp grass-fed butter or coconut oil (if you’re dairy-free)
sea salt and pepper, to taste
3–4 garlic cloves, minced
1.5 Tablespoons Italian seasoning
Instructions
Brown the ground beef with the butter (or coconut oil) in a large skillet. Season it lightly with salt and pepper.
When the meat is cook, add the tomato sauce, tomato past and chunks of freshly chopped tomatoes.
Add the garlic and Italian seasoning as you continue to simmer. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until the tomatoes have mostly broken down and have become part of the sauce, about 30-45 minutes.
Serve your sauce over your favorite pasta or zucchini noodles!
