Yes, there are two shoes. And no, I did not have to go buy Joshua a new pair!

Guess who found the shoe and where it was? Nate found it. From away on his business trip. We were talking on Skype Tuesday evening and we were both saying we couldn’t believe that the shoe hadn’t turned up anywhere. Nate said “You did check his favorite cubby hole by the tv right?”
Me – “Um………”
I looked right then and there and sure enough, there was that darn missing shoe! I cannot believe I didn’t look there and I’m still kicking myself! Of course, the shoe was there – that’s Joshua’s favorite “hiding” spot. I literally looked every other single possible place! I must have major preggo brain going on right now for me to have forgotten that spot! Wow!

I had planned to blog yesterday, but we just had a busy day and I was tired and didn’t get around to it.

A dear friend from church came by yesterday morning for a short playdate and brought us dinner too. She is so incredibly sweet & I am so thankful for her. She truly made my day – all of our day! – much better and brightened my whole week. The kids had fun playing with her children and she stayed just enough that we had fun, but not so long that I was worn out and overdid it. It was just perfect.
I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends!

We also have finally “caught up with the times” (which is really weird seeing as how Nate is such a techie) and set up a Skype account. I’ve enjoyed talking to Nate in the evenings – I told him now I can check up on him and make sure he’s not wearing the same shirt from the day before (only those of you who really know him will get that one!) Heehee!

We also got to Skype with Nate’s sister Elissa and her two adorable kids – our nephew & niece who are 2 and almost 1 and so precious! They live in North Carolina so we rarely get to see them, but it was so wonderful to “see” them over the computer.

Well that’s our little mid-week update. Wait, is it actually the end of the week? It’s Friday tomorrow isn’t it? I’m all mixed up on my days, mainly because with Nate being gone, my weekend won’t really be my weekend. Nathan informed Daddy over the phone yesterday that it was a “mistake” for him to have left Tuesday because now he was going to be away over the weekend and we would “have to do school on Saturday!” I assured him we would not, so he felt a little better then, but is still rather peeved that Daddy is away.
