Happy Family was launched on Mother’s Day 2006 and is owned and operated by moms. Consistently recognized for superior taste and nutrition, Happy Family is the leading premium organic food brand delivering optimal nutrition for the entire family.
Happy Family foods come from the best, most environmentally friendly farmers in the world. All of their farmers practice sustainable, organic farming, using compost as fertilizer, natural pest control, and irrigation systems that conserve water. You can even go to their website to see exactly which farms they get their various ingredients from! To me, this is HUGE as I am a big supporter of organic farming and I love knowing exactly where my family’s food comes from.
Happy Family works with pediatricians and nutritionists to develop their recipes using the very best organic fruits, vegetables, dairy, meats, and grains. But their products are not just organic. They also add extra nutrition in the form of important vitamins, minerals, supergrains, and probiotics. Ingredients they use include: amaranth, coconut milk, dha, magnesium, pre and probiotics, quinoa, chia seeds, and vitamin D. Additionally, their products do not contain artificial preservatives, artificial colors, trans fats, or pba.
One of Happy Family’s newest products is their Greek Yogurt pouches for both babies and tots.
The Happy Baby Greek Yogurt pouches, containing at least 2g of protein per pouch, combine Greek yogurt with fruits and veggies for a nutritious snack that will make little tummies happy. Flavors include banana & pumpkin; strawberry, apple & beet; and zucchini, pear & kale.
Happy Tot Greek Yogurt pouches also combine Greek yogurt with healthy fruits and veggies, and have 3g of protein in each pouch. They are also a great source of calcium! Flavors include kale, spinach & apple; orange, apple & sweet potato; and pomegranate, apple & beet.
Samuel and I were able to find all of the Happy Baby and Happy Tot Greek yogurt flavors at our local grocery store, and we ended up getting one of each of the Happy Tot pouches. The Happy Tot pouches contain a bit more volume than the Happy Baby pouches, and my understanding is that the Happy Tot pouches aren’t as “smooth” as the Happy Baby pouches. I guessed this might mean they could contain small chunks of fruit, rather than being a completely smooth puree. As it turns out, I was right!
Sam decided he wanted to try the orange, apple & sweet potato Happy Family Greek Yogurt pouch first because he loves all three of those things! 🙂 I was a little leary of just handing the pouch to him because I was afraid he would squeeze it and everything would just come shooting out. But surprisingly, he did really well! He looked like a pro sucking all of the Greek yogurt fruit and veggie goodness down! He was obviously enjoying himself, and he was looking so stinking cute!
He was doing SO well with his pouch that I felt confident enough to step away for a minute….big mistake!! I walked back into the room to find that he had, in fact, experimented with squeezing the pouch, and apparently he found it very enjoyable! He had squeezed a good amount onto the floor and table, and into his lap. But Samuel knows how to take lemons and make lemonade! Rather than getting upset, he did a little fingerpainting with it on the table. 🙂
So, I learned two lessons. First, Samuel really likes the Happy Family Greek Yogurt pouches, and second, I can’t trust him alone with a squeezable pouch of food yet!
