Let’s just say he’s shown a new side to himself lately – one that proves he is earning his keep. And that he is good at grossing me out.
I found a dead mouse under my couch this afternoon. I actually picked it up, thinking it was one of the kids toys, before I realized what it was. Our couch is a couple inches off the ground so I look under it regularly because toys and puzzle pieces and books get shoved under there. Once I realized what I was holding was a mouse, let’s just say there was some screaming and squealing from me. Not so much because it was a mouse (I actually think the little guys are cute – I just prefer them to not be in my house.) But it was more because it had been dead for at least a day and well, I’ll just leave it at that.
After I disposed of said mouse into the outside trash and washed my hands multiple times with super hot water and lots of antibacterial soap, I called Nate, who is currently away on business to let him know how much he owes me after that one. Haha.
On a lighter, less-disgusting note, Shadow’s found a new favorite spot to play and sleep. Of course it’s a baby item.
I’ve shared how he loves all baby-related items around the house – Luke’s bouncy seat, the playmat, the stroller, all over the place.
What is he going to do when Luke outgrows all this stuff and we put it away?
