You know the saying “A picture is worth a thousand words”? I really believe that. That’s why taking photos is so important to me. Whether it’s sharing a favorite recipe, a product review or best of all, special family moments, a good picture can add so much more than just writing about it.
That’s why I’m happy to have teamed up with Photobucket Stories. Photobucket wants you to share your “story” in photos with them. It could be your a new baby, a special vacation, your child’s birthday, a family reunion, or even just a day-in-the-life. Whatever you want.
Photobucket makes it easy with their new “Story” software. I’ve been a Photobucket user for years and I am really excited about this new feature.
It’s simple to upload photos and then create your story. Click on “Story” from your homepage and then add your photos and video too. Then personalize it more with text and labels. It’s like a virtual photo album, only so much quicker and easier than a real one. One of my favorite features is the ability to drag and drop photos and text boxes to wherever you want. There are so me limitations, but I found it very smooth for the most part.
Once you’ve created your story, you can share it through Facebook, Twitter, email, and more. Send it Grandma or your out-of-town sister. Or the whole family. They’ll love it.
Photobucket is hosting a fantastic contest, called “Life’s an Adventure Story Contest,” that gives you the chance to win some big cash. The grand prize winner will receive $25,000 cash with five runner-up winners each getting $500. You can submit your “photo story” now through December 9th and vote for your favorites. Click here for the contest and official rules.
In honor of the “Life’s An Adventure Story” contest, I’m going to share a Photobucket Story I put together. Since we just had Thanksgiving, I figured that would be a great story to share.
I hope you’ll consider entering the contest – even if you don’t win, it’s a great introduction to a cool free service that you’ll definitely want to try. And you may just find yourself inspired and create some wonderful “stories.” And who knows? You might just be the grand prize winner and how awesome would that be?!
What will you pick for your Photobucket story?
