Every summer we visit Story Land NH. Such a fun, fun place for young families. If you are ever visiting New Hampshire and have extra time, I highly recommend it. It’s expensive, but the memories are priceless.

We went last week with Grandpa.

 The annual StoryLand picture frame-
with my dad, me, & the kids:

Our family of six – of course not everyone is looking, but that’s life with young kids! 🙂

I’d like to point out that I said no to this to stay on my diet!

Joshua had a blast this year – he was just big enough to begin enjoying it – here he was just coming out from getting a sticker from “The Old Lady Who Lived in the Shoe!” You can see how immensely pleased he is:

Luke was wide-eyed and very curious:

See how smart my baby is? He’s already counting his fingers! heehee

The giant treehouse is always a favorite:

Joshua became a real pro at climbing up and going down the huge slide:

 Joshua, Nathan, & me:

Joshua coming out of the pumpkin!

 Cinderella’s Castle:

 Luke & Daddy:

 Emily talking to Cinderella:

 A hug from Cinderella!

 Later, the Polar Coaster:

See the beautiful view of the mountains too? (I will neither confirm nor deny that that’s me in the front of the coaster there!)

Nathan, Emily, & Daddy’s turn:

Another favorite ride – the Bamboo Chutes:

Emily did ride it once, but she preferred the stationary seat after that:

Nathan, on the other hand, rode many times all by himself – he loves that he’s old enough to do that now & is getting more & more independent all the time:

 Lunchtime:

They had pizza & cookies – we had this – rather gross so we tossed it and ordered plain burgers with no bun or condiments:

A Red-headed Woodpecker in the tree:

Dr Geyser’s Ride: “Where you will get wet; possibly soaked!”

Emily loved running around the water area:

A train! Joshua was very excited to ride this:

Of course he had to sit with Grandpa:

 Sights along the train ride:

We stopped for a break near the little pond – there was a mother duck sitting there napping while her ducklings gathered around her obediently. I couldn’t help asking the kids “Why can’t I do that? See how nicely her children are behaving?!” (The grandmother sitting near us couldn’t help laughing.

I love daisies and couldn’t resist this shot:

 Tired boys:

Emily & Grandpa on the tractor ride:

 Grandpa & Lukey:

 Luke liked the train too:

 I was busy watching Joshua:

He climbed up this little hill to the tree & then dropped the lid to his water. When he tried to pick it up all the water dumped out of his water bottle & he got so frustrated. It was all so funny though!

Another wonderful trip to Story Land

…and some tired kids on the way home:
