Tonka Chuck is a popular toy for preschool-aged children. If you have or know a child this age, you probably know just what I’m talking about. These are the friendly talking cars & trucks that even star on a tv show. (I happen to know because it’s one of Joshua’s favorites!)
I’ve reviewed Tonka Chuck before, such as the Tonka Chuck Racer. This time, I was sent three of the Tonka Chuck Die Cast Metal cars:
Soku the Cruiser, Digger the Dozer, and Rowdy the Garbage Truck.
Recommended for ages 3 and up, Tonka Chuck Die Cast Metal cars are the perfect size for preschoolers to enjoy. They are made from a sturdy die cast metal which means they’ll hold up pretty well, but they’re also a little heavier, so just a word of caution if you have a thrower. That being said, I’d definitely see these lasting longer than other versions and at just $4.99 each, they’re very affordable.
Joshua will be three is just over a week and he’s the perfect age to enjoy the Tonka Chuck cars. When I first pulled them out of the box, he squealed “For ME?!” It was so cute. He waited quite patiently while I took photos and then squealed again when I finally took the cars out of their packaging. He immediately lined up each car with its proper name (not that he can read yet, but Emily helped him with that.)
Joshua takes his Tonka Chuck friends all over with him, even to bed! These are a big hit and I’d definitely recommend them.
You can find Tonka Chuck die cast cars at stores nationwide for an ARP of $4.99 each
