I told you about Kraft Fresh Take a couple weeks ago, along with my Italian Parmesan Chicken & Rice recipe. Kraft Fresh Take is a cheese and bread crumb mix that can be found in the dairy section of the grocery store. It’s separated into two pouches – one for bread crumbs and one for cheese. This ensures it stays extra fresh.
Today, I want to share how I transformed an ordinary dinner into something delicious, using Kraft Fresh Take. I’ll also show you how quick & simple Kraft Fresh Take really is.
Watch this video here as I show you what’s for dinner and how easy it is to use Kraft Fresh Take:
As you saw in the video, dinner was Tilapia coated with Kraft Fresh Take, Homemade Macaroni & Cheese topped with Kraft Fresh Take Italian Parmesan, and broccoli.
Homemade Macaroni & Cheese with Kraft Fresh Take
I had a few ideas for what to make as our side dish, but in the end, opted for our tried and true Homemade Macaroni & Cheese.
Preheat the oven to 350°.
Heat water to a boil and cook 1 box (16 oz) of elbow macaroni.
In the meantime, melt 1 stick of butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add 1/3 cup of flour and stir until combined.
Slowly add 3 cups of milk and stir. You may need to use a whisk to get the lumps out.
Bring the milk mixture to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. You may want to turn the heat down to medium-low so it doesn’t burn.
Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
It should have thickened nicely by this point. Remove from the heat and stir in 12 ounces of cheese (cheddar, cheddar jack, etc. are our favorites, but you can use whatever variety you want to mix it up.)
Also stir in 3/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
Add the cooked noodles and stir to combine. Dump into a 2 quart casserole dish.
Top with 1/4 to 1/2 cup of Kraft Fresh Take Italian Parmesan.
Bake for 30 minutes. For a slightly crispier topping, you can leave it uncovered.

Kraft Fresh Take Baked Tilapia
The Tilapia was super easy. Just coat it with Kraft Fresh Take and bake for 10-20 minutes (depends on the thickness of the fish.)
Next time, I’ll brush some lemon juice over the fish before putting on the Fresh Take to cut down on the fishy-taste. But it was still delicious.
I baked the tilapia at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. I would recommend baking from 12-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish. It smelled amazing too.
Our Kraft Fresh Take Dinner
Total prep time for this dinner was about 20 minutes and 45 minutes in the oven.
Everyone enjoyed our Kraft Fresh Take dinner. Every one of my often-picky children gobbled up their macaroni and cheese, and the Tilapia. Score! Thanks, #KraftFreshTake!
