These baked chicken nuggets are healthy and flavorful, with a crispy panko coating your kids and family will love. They’re perfect for a quick lunch, dinner, or snack, and can be made in just 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale

1 ¼ cup panko bread crumbs
1 pound chicken tenderloin, cut into 1 ½ inch pieces.
1 cup whole milk
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning mix
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into 1 ½ inch pieces. Soak in the milk and vinegar mixture for at least 5 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, add the panko crumbs evenly onto a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet onto the middle rack of the oven and toast at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes, or until golden.
  3. Place the toasted panko in a shallow bowl and add the Italian seasoning, garlic powder and kosher salt. Mix well.
  4. Using tongs, shake off excess milk from the chicken and coat each piece evenly with the panko crumbs.
  5. Add a baking rack over your baking pan and place the chicken tenders on the baking rack.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the middle rack of the oven. Bake chicken at 400 degrees fahrenheit for 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the nugget reaches 165 degrees fahrenheit.
  7. Serve with your choice of dipping sauce and enjoy!
