A great homemade substitute for Bisquick and with four simple ingredients, it’s far less processed.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup baking powder
  • 1 Tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups shortening

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together. Add the shortening and cut in until the mixture has coarse crumbs. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • When stored in an airtight container, this mix should last for around 2 months or so. (I’ve always used ours up before that, so I can’t say if it lasts any longer.)
