My kids love oatmeal as a simple breakfast in the morning, but sometimes they get tired of the same old cooked oatmeal with frozen fruit as a healthier topping.

So I came up with this fun Strawberries and Cream Overnight Oats recipe as a fun alternative. This easy breakfast is layered with oats, a little strawberry jam, vanilla yogurt, and juicy strawberries (fresh or frozen.)

Best of all, Strawberries and Cream Overnight Oats is so easy to prepare, my kids can make it themselves!

I give them each a glass mason jar and they carefully spoon or drop the different layers into their jar for their own Strawberries and Cream Overnight Oats. There’s no cooking required, making it super simple the next morning when you just pull the oats from the fridge and dig in!

I’m personally trying to keep processed sugar to a minimum…. have you tried this without the jam? Will it change the consistency and outcome, or just the flavor? Thank you!

Hi Casie, you can definitely leave out the jam. I also prefer less sugar and have made this recipe several times without the jam and it’s delicious. Enjoy!
