It is hot. It hit about 95 degrees yesterday and is the same today. I know a lot of people live in the south and are used to the heat; well the average temperature here where we live is about 78 degrees in July. We are not used to 90+ degree weather, not to mention an extended heat wave, with increasing humidity. We don’t have central AC (why would we when we typically only need an AC a week or two out of the entire year?), so our options are to brave the heat and hit the beach, crash at a friend’s pool, or try to survive at home, eventually escaping upstairs to where we have a couple window unit ACs. That can make for a long boring day, as I don’t have a laptop and we have no tv upstairs. I suppose I can get some cleaning & organizing done upstairs… If I still have any energy left, that is.
My morning sickness is still pretty bad. When I got up to use the bathroom last night (oh those wonderful pregnant middle of the night trips to the bathroom!), I was throwing up stomach acid. Sorry a little TMI, but oh that was NOT fun. I am 10 weeks along now, and with my other kids, the morning sickness went away by 12-14 weeks, so hopefully I won’t have more than a month left of this.
On a wonderful note, I have heard our little one’s heartbeat several times now with my home-doppler and that is so wonderfully reassuring. I’ve also begun to feel little flutters here and there. I know some people say it’s way too early; well I say this is my 4th and I know what to feel! I felt flutters with Emily & Joshua at around 10 weeks too. It truly is amazing.
I don’t think it’s completely set in yet that our 4th (and last) baby is on the way. I know it will soon enough though.
